Events & Hospitality Manager Morgan Hill, CA From $50,000 a year - Full-time From $50,000 a year - Full-time Job Overview Join one of California's oldest family-owned wineries and help create unforgettable experiences through weddings, corporate events, concerts, festivals, private celebrations, wine club events, and Villa Emile rentals. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Events & Hospitality Manager to lead the planning, execution, and management of a diverse range of events and hospitality services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create memorable experiences, oversee venue operations, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects seamlessly. As a key member of our team, you will drive event marketing initiatives, manage budgets, and foster positive relationships with clients and vendors to ensure every event exceeds expectations. Duties Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events including corporate gatherings, banquets, fundraisers, and social functions with precision and creativity Oversee all aspects of event management from initial concept development through post-event evaluation Negotiate contracts with vendors, caterers, entertainment providers, and venue partners to secure favorable terms Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for events to maximize attendance and engagement through targeted campaigns and outreach Manage event budgets diligently, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards Coordinate catering services, banquet arrangements, and guest accommodations to deliver seamless hospitality experiences Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout each event Supervise on-site event staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols Implement upselling techniques to enhance revenue opportunities during events and promote additional services or packages Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders via detailed planning documents, timelines, and regular updates Primary Responsibilities Manage event inquiries, venue tours, bookings, and contracts Serve as primary client contact from inquiry through event completion Coordinate weddings, corporate events, concerts, festivals, and private celebrations Develop timelines, floorplans, vendor schedules, and logistic plans Supervise event staff and onsite event operations Manage budgets, invoicing, deposits, and reporting Support marketing initiatives and venue promotions Coordinate Villa Emile reservations and guest experiences Ideal Candidate Event Planning Experience Hospitality or Venue Management Experience Exceptional Customer Service Skills Strong Written and Verbal Communication Excellent Organization and Attention to Detail Experience Managing Vendors and Staff Ability to Work Evenings and Weekends Experience Proven experience in event marketing, event planning, or hospitality management within settings such as hotels, restaurants, or event venues Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts and vendor agreements Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial management for large-scale events Extensive banquet experience combined with knowledge of catering operations and restaurant or hotel environments Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, staff, and guests Familiarity with fundraising activities or guest services within a hospitality context is highly desirable Prior experience in events management software or tools is a plus Join us in creating unforgettable moments!
