Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our orthopedic practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. The Patient Care Coordinator manages high call volumes, schedules appointments, coordinates patient care needs, and ensures seamless communication between patients, providers, and clinical teams. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across multiple providers and locations Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referral requirements Provide patients with information regarding services, procedures, and office policies Triage calls appropriately and route clinical questions to medical staff when necessary Coordinate pre-authorization and referral processes as required Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Experience Previous experience in a medical or orthopedic office setting is preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation processes Proven office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred Experience providing medical administrative support is highly desirable Excellent communication, active listening, and customer service skills
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
