Job Description

The Mind Study Center is an independent organization offering evidence-based psychiatric and psychological services in the Los Angeles area. We strive for the highest standards of care, integrating evidence-based clinical approaches with practical experiences in an empathic, trusting, and collaborative environment. This position offers a great opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals providing mental healthcare to youth and their families. We are looking for a highly skilled individual who is professional, organized, detail oriented, reliable, and motivated to offer exceptional customer service.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred or 2-4 years of relevant work experience with responsibilities comparable to those required for this position.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
Overview:
Provide behind the scene support for our services, events, products, and marketing. This includes but is not limited to: Welcome and great patients, families, and guests Perform check-in and check-out, including payment processing, through the electronic medical record (EMR) system Register all patients in the electronic health records Schedule/ confirm appointments Answering phones/ making phone calls Prep patient files Send referrals based on Doctor's report Obtain all reports/documents necessary for Doctor's evaluation Perform all tasks associated with proper opening and closing of Mind Study Ceter office Assist with initial histories and history reviews Prepare subpoena of records and scheduling subpoena pick-up/drop-off Prepare EDD/ disability paperwork Verify insurance information/ coverage/ eligibility Collect payments Scanning/ extracting files Makes copies, sends, and receives faxes. Assure that reception area is clean and orderly. Call and remind patients of appointments. Medication pre-authorizations. Communication with patients' insurance companies Maintain confidentiality of member files per HIPAA and all applicable guidelines Utilize proper lifting and body mechanics to prevent personal injury
Requirements:
This position will begin as part time (25-30hours), 5 days a week.
