About TruVet TruVet Specialty & Emergency Hospital is a privately owned, rapidly growing referral and emergency practice with a team of experienced specialists, emergency veterinarians, and support staff dedicated to providing advanced veterinary care. Position Overview The Veterinary Referral Coordinator plays a key role in supporting specialty services by facilitating communication, coordinating appointments, and ensuring patients and clients receive a seamless experience throughout their care journey. This position serves as an important liaison between specialists, emergency clinicians, referring veterinary hospitals, and pet owners. Key Responsibilities Coordinate specialty consultations, procedures, diagnostics, and follow-up appointments. Maintain communication with clients, referral partners, specialists, and hospital departments regarding case progression and scheduling needs. Collect, review, and organize medical records, imaging, laboratory results, and referral documentation before appointments. Assist with monitoring treatment plans, estimates, and patient charges to ensure accuracy and timely follow-up. Support specialty department operations, workflows, and team initiatives. Participate in team meetings and assist with training and onboarding activities as needed. Help ensure an exceptional experience for clients and referring veterinarians through timely and professional communication. Qualifications Previous veterinary experience required. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Experience with Instinct veterinary software is preferred but not required. Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork, accountability, and patient care. Why Join TruVet?
