Job Summary Job Summary Under the supervision of the Executive Director or designee, the Disabilities/Mental Health Coordinator ensures that the programs adhere to the Head Start Act regulations/ Performance Standards, and state and local requirements regarding mental health and special needs services for young children birth to five years old. Continued operation of the Head Start/Early Head Start Program and employment of staff is dependent on the availability of Federal Funding. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications A combination of formal education, life experience and work experience are considered when evaluating qualifications.
Experience:
Knowledge of Special Education & Mental Health services for children birth to five years old. A minimum of three years recent experience working with families and children is required.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree or above in Child Development, Special Education, Social Work or related field with a valid Child Development Permit (minimum of Site Supervisor level) is required. To be considered, the following documents must be uploaded to a complete application: Certificate Copy (Child Development Site Supervisor Permit) Copy of Transcript ((Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Special Education, Social Work or related field)) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 current letters from the last two years) Resume Requirements / Qualifications A combination of formal education, life experience and work experience are considered when evaluating qualifications.
