  • 180k + Benefits (Mid-Senior Level Experience) (Pay Varies Depending on experience) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgery Center Administrator to lead the operational and administrative functions of a busy outpatient surgical facility.
This pivotal role involves overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing financial performance, and fostering a collaborative environment for staff and providers. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management, medical office systems, and fiscal oversight, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care and efficient practice management. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the surgery center, including clinical workflows, patient scheduling, and staff coordination to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and revenue cycle management utilizing systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EMR/EHR platforms. Supervise administrative staff, medical personnel, and support teams, providing leadership in human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure adherence to accreditation standards such as JCAHO (Joint Commission) requirements and other regulatory guidelines governing outpatient surgical facilities. Oversee medical records management, including documentation accuracy, confidentiality protocols under HIPAA, and proper utilization of electronic medical records systems. Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives related to patient safety, infection control, and clinical compliance. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, vendors, and external agencies to optimize operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. Conduct financial analysis including budgeting, expense control, managed care negotiations, and utilization management to maximize profitability. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws affecting surgical practices and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Skills Extensive experience in medical office management within outpatient or surgical settings; familiarity with dental or veterinary clinic experience is a plus. Proven supervisory skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. Strong fiscal management capabilities including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle oversight. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft for documentation and practice management. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO standards. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and administrative processes. Effective communication skills for liaising with staff members, physicians, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments while maintaining high standards of patient care.
