Coordination of Specialty Practice Clinical Practices. Coordination of the School Based Oral Healthcare Practice Clinics. Support of the Dental Students Comprehensive Care Group Practices. Support Risk and Quality Management Programs. Support administrative clinical staff. Support the educational mission of the clinical faculty. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities: Knowledge in dental insurance billing and appointment scheduling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with health care professionals, students, and patients. Bilingual ability helpful. Experience with computers, printers, electronic patient records, copy machine operation, and telephone operation. Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications Education:
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience in a dental office or large dental clinic, scheduling and insurance billing in a clinic. Knowledge of dental terminology. Dental assisting/hygiene experience preferred. Experience using dental Electronic Health Record. Preferred Qualifications Preference given to those who have experience in dental education.
Experience:
Registered Dental Assistant or previous dental assisting experience. Experience billing Denti-cal. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Coordinate CDM Student Group Practices, CDM Specialty Practice, and/or
School Based Oral Health Clinics:
Coordination of the patient scheduling and patient finances, insurance billing (including checking insurance eligibility) with office staff at CDM clinical sites; coordinate schedules within CDM clinical sites; instruct dental students in the business operations of the CDM clinical site; and serve primary patient contact for patient communications as assigned. Key Responsibilities Support CDM Managing Partners, Specialty Faculty, Director of Patient Care Services, and/or School Based Oral Health Care faculty, and clinical faculty and staff, as needed. Key Responsibilities Support CDM Risk and CDM quality management programs; initial patient contact in grievance process; facilitate patient record audits as directed. Monitor student progress as directed by Managing Partners and/or clinical Faculty. Key Responsibilities Support CDM Clinical Operations at all CDM Clinical Sites as needed. Key Responsibilities Participate in required training and mandatory in-services such as BLS, infection control, and HIPAA. Key Responsibilities Other duties as assigned.
