Job Description
Job Summary/Purpose:
The Clinical Team Supervisor II is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing independent clinical supervision in accordance with Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements. This role holds full responsibility for clinical oversight, supervision of associate-level staff, and approval of clinical documentation. The Supervisor II serves as a key leader in maintaining program quality, audit readiness, and adherence to all applicable regulatory and contractual standards. Duties may be modified at any time to meet organizational needs.- Provide independent clinical supervision to associate-level staff in accordance with BBS requirements, including supervision of hours and required documentation
- Review, approve, and sign off on clinical documentation to ensure compliance with Medi-Cal, DHCS, and county standards
- Oversee clinical service delivery to ensure alignment with regulatory, contractual, and organizational expectations
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all clinical documentation and billing-related records
- Monitor staff productivity, clinical performance, and documentation compliance; implement corrective action as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Medi-Cal, DHCS, and applicable behavioral health regulations
- Lead audit preparation and response efforts, including internal audits, chart reviews, and corrective action plans
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to clinical staff
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to ensure program success
- Partner with program leadership to address operational needs, staffing gaps, and service delivery challenges
- Respond to complex or high-risk clinical situations and ensure appropriate escalation, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy laws
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program, department, and organizational needs
- May be required to operate a company or personal vehicle for work-related purposes, in accordance with company policy Qualifications and Education Requirements

Responsible for supervising associate clinicians, including oversight and verification of supervised hours, and ensuring all supervision practices comply with BBS regulations, documentation standards, and audit requirements.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations and documentation standards. Ability to provide effective clinical supervision and staff development. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
