Job Description

Must Have:
Two (2) years of full-time work experience in a community program that serves clients who have a mental illness. Such experience must be in the direct provision of services to clients, of which one (1) year must be in the position of supervising direct care staff, or As an alternative to the Bachelor Degree and experience required, a total of four (4) years of experience in a community program providing direct services to persons with mental disabilities, of which one (1) year must be in the position of supervising direct care staff, and graduation from high school or possession of a GED may be substituted. Job Summary The Program Director will oversee Social Rehabilitation Residential Programs at our Rialto, CA location. The Program Director oversees the day to day operations in the home and supports direct care staff in their role. The Program Director participates in monthly interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and provides clinical support in the home. Must serve as a role model for clients and staff to support the culture of Helping Hearts. Duties Responsible for successfully managing the daily operations and needs of the assigned home Communicate effectively through the chain of command to the licensee concerning the operation of the facility Oversee the daily clinical needs of all clients in the facility Oversee and carry out the overall treatment program and management of the facility (as authorized by the licensee) and under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator Remain on premises of assigned home the number of hours necessary to manage and administer the treatment program of the facility in compliance with California Code of Regulations. Educate and train the Direct Care (BHT-1) and BHT Staff (BHT-2) on all issues related to client treatment including changes in the treatment plan, concerns or additional monitoring or tracking they deem necessary for clinical purposes. Provide and document a specific plan of supervision and ensure that at least 20 hours of in-service training for all BHTs (1s and 2s) per year are completed Ensure that the staff provides support to the clients in the planning, preparing and serving of meals and cleaning of the facility Make arrangements for clients to attend available community programs as needed and appropriate taking into account any accommodations for disabilities Support Agency Administrator, Clinical Coordinator and Head of Service in client-related issues and case management including treatment team meetings, as well as, notifications and coordination for attendance for clients and their representatives to participate in their assessment and treatment plans. Complete weekly clinical reviews and audits of all progress notes, MARS, and monthly summaries for each client Follow the Helping Hearts Internal Medication Policy which covers general duties, controlled medications, storage, and documentation, medication policy for new admits, and disposal of medications Provide supportive services, as needed, including completion of new admit packets and client orientation Provide therapeutic rapport to clients Review client documentation for compliance Prepare assessments with client participation Participate in regularly scheduled clinical oversight by the Clinical Coordinator or a BHP Coordination of medical and psychiatric care of all clients Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee What you will Bring Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field, or GED/High School Graduate certificate with 4 years' experience providing direct services to persons with mental illness A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience of subordinate staff Experience working with Electronic HealthCare records Valid First Aid Certification A valid California driver license in good standing and proof of insurance to operate a vehicle Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task as needed Ability to pass criminal/background clearance.
