Wound Care Physician (MD/DO) / Clinical Lead - Sacramento, CA California Wound Care Launch Group Sacramento, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $200 - $300 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Travel reimbursement Flexible schedule Malpractice insurance Qualifications Doctor of Medicine Medicine Skilled nursing facility experience Internal medicine Family medicine Full Job Description Job Summary We are recruiting a California-licensed or California-license eligible Wound Care Physician / Clinical Lead for a part-time 1099 role supporting the launch of a mobile/SNF-focused wound-care model in the Sacramento / Northern California region. This is a buildout-stage role intended for a physician who can help establish clinical credibility, support patient-care execution, and contribute to launch planning as the model develops.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong wound-care experience Comfort working in skilled nursing and long-term care settings Interest in helping build a scalable California wound-care program Clinical credibility Patient-care capability Documentation discipline Launch support as the program develops
Key Responsibilities:
Provide wound-care evaluation and treatment for patients in
SNF / LTC
settings. Support clinical launch planning for a mobile/SNF wound-care model. Help define clinical protocols, documentation standards, and care workflows. Evaluate and manage chronic wounds, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, venous/arterial wounds, and related wound-care conditions. Support patient-volume growth through reliable clinical availability and facility-facing credibility. Assist with documentation quality, wound measurement, treatment planning, and reimbursement-aware clinical workflows. Provide guidance around skin substitutes, debridement, advanced wound therapies, and appropriate wound-care documentation. Potentially serve as Clinical Lead or Medical Director depending on experience and role fit.
Preferred Qualifications:
MD or DO with active California medical license. Board certification or strong experience in wound care, undersea/hyperbaric medicine, surgery, internal medicine, family medicine, infectious disease, vascular care, podiatry, or related field. Experience treating patients in SNF, LTC, ALF, mobile care, or post-acute settings. Comfortable with debridement, chronic wound management, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, venous/arterial wounds, and complex wound-care documentation. Familiarity with skin substitutes and related documentation requirements. Interest in helping build a California mobile/SNF wound-care model. Ability to support launch planning, provider supervision, clinical protocols, and facility-facing workflow if needed.
Ideal Candidate:
A wound-care physician or clinical leader who can establish clinical credibility, support patient-care execution, and help demonstrate that a California SNF wound-care model can produce real patient volume.
Pay:
$200.00 - $300.00 per hour
