You will manage and execute the hospitality and sales strategy, serving as a primary driver of our revenue and guest engagement. This role requires a unique blend of talents: the drive to manage customer relations, outreach, and high-end events, combined with the commitment to personally handle day-to-day tasting room tasks side-by-side with the team and family.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the strategic leader of the tasting room, ensuring flawless execution of luxury guest service standards. Provide unique, memorable tasting experiences within our historic winery and tasting room. Fully own the master event calendar; handle the setup, execution, and breakdown of premium onsite private tastings and consumer events. Support a clean and safe environment in all hospitality areas, taking the initiative on everything from polishing glasses to refreshing guest spaces. Accurately process and record sales orders, customer info, and wine club profiles using Commerce7 (C7) and ShipCompliant. Co-manage monthly inventory (both in-house and fulfillment) and assist with packing and package logistics. Personally drive revenue growth from our existing customer list via proactive, disciplined phone and email outreach. Reconnect with inactive/dormant buyers, present new releases, and strategically improve average order value through personalized engagement. Creatively design and deploy digital marketing campaigns using MailChimp and create engaging social media content and photography to drive acquisition and club sign-ups. Represent the winery at national wine auctions, luxury wine festivals, and high-impact consumer events. Evaluate the strategic value and sales impact post-event to optimize future consumer outreach. Collaborate with chefs, country clubs, private hosts, and luxury event planners on menu pairings, logistics, timelines, and wine shipments. Conduct structured post-event follow-up to convert event attendees into lifelong DTC clients and club members. Set the standard for luxury client engagement and train our small team and family members on updated sales approaches, C7 usage, and tasting room protocols. Maintain organized documentation, sales templates, training binders, and event planning manuals to keep our lean operation running efficiently.
