Position Overview Join one of Orange County's top luxury medical spas as our Lead Medical Assistant — a key leadership role supporting our elite nurse injector team in a fast-paced, high-end aesthetic environment. We are seeking a polished, highly organized, detail-oriented, medically inclined professional who thrives in a premium patient experience setting and can confidently serve as the right-hand person to our nursing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in excellence, leadership, precision, and delivering elevated medical care. What We're Looking For:
Minimum 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience - Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with a strong background in dermatology, aesthetics, plastic surgery preferred Knowledge of medical care procedures Demonstrated ability to perform intake assessments, medication & numbing administration, and basic clinical tasks accurately Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team in outpatient or inpatient environments Proficient and experienced with blood draws/phlebotomy Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through Natural leadership abilities and team-oriented mindset Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and communication skills Passion for aesthetics, wellness, and luxury patient care Dependable, proactive, and highly organized CPR certified Previous Med Spa experience or similar preferred, but not required Technology Savvy Ease with using EMR systems
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting providers and nurse injectors with treatments and procedures Communicate with back office staff, director of ops and clinical director daily. Performing blood draws and supporting all nurse service offerings Overseeing back-office flow and maintaining operational excellence Inventory organization and treatment room preparation Supporting patient care from check-in to follow-up Helping lead and support the clinical team with professionalism and efficiency Make and oversee MA schedule. Review and address in lapse in coverage. Oversee RN, reviewing a lapse in coverage or conflicts present. New equipment point of contact for back office delivery/set up & general yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly maintenance for all devices. Inventory tracking of all injectables and nurse supplies including weekly injectable counts and monthly full inventory counts Order of all nursing supplies efficiently to ensure proper instock amount Unpack order arrivals, unpack in way to put newest product towards back, thus ensuring oldest product is always pulled first Follow up with nurse patients as needed, be the in between on communication from nurse to patient for timely response Assist nurses with charting Needs Review needs for a new or extended GFE exam prior to treatment Use spa-kinect to verify GFE completions, do onsite when necessary Hold quarterly MA meetings to review team performance, protocols and efficiency safety standards
