Job Description

Patient Care & Sales Coordinator — Chiropractic Office Part-time | 15-20 hours/week $20-$30/hour depending on experience • Performance bonuses This is a busy chiropractic practice in San Francisco's Inner Sunset. We are looking for a capable, grounded, sales-oriented person to help manage patient communication, convert inquiries into scheduled consultations, support patients through care plans, and assist with our spinal decompression program. This is not a passive front desk position. Sales, follow-up, and patient conversion are central parts of the job. If you're looking for a place to study for your exams, this isn't the place. The right person will be comfortable speaking with prospective patients, discussing fees and payment arrangements, following up consistently, and helping people move forward with care when appropriate. At the same time, this is a healthcare environment, so the sales style needs to be professional, consultative, ethical, and relationship-based. You will also help with front desk responsibilities and minor clinical support, including setting patients up on spinal decompression tables. Training will be provided. About the practice SF City Chiropractic is a patient-centered chiropractic office focused on strong patient relationships, clear communication, clinical outcomes, and a warm but professional environment. Patients should feel welcomed, listened to, and well cared for. At the same time, the office needs to run efficiently, stay organized, and maintain a focused clinical atmosphere. We are growing our spinal decompression program, which is designed for patients dealing with conditions such as chronic neck or low back pain, disc injuries, sciatica, nerve pain, numbness, tingling, and related symptoms. Many of these patients are actively looking for help and may be considering a larger care plan. Your ability to communicate clearly, follow up consistently, and help them understand the next step will be an important part of the role. About the role You will often be the first voice patients hear and the first face they see when they arrive. Day to day, this includes answering phones, responding to inquiries, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, managing the daily schedule, and helping keep the office clean, calm, organized, and running smoothly. A major part of the role will also involve sales, lead follow-up, and patient conversion. We receive inquiries from people who contact the office through Google ads, our website, phone calls, and other channels. Your job will be to respond quickly, communicate clearly, schedule consultations, follow up with people who have not yet booked, and help patients move forward with care when appropriate. You will also assist with spinal decompression visits. This includes preparing the room, helping patients get set up on the decompression table, making sure they are comfortable, and keeping the schedule moving smoothly. This is not a diagnostic or treatment-planning role. Clinical decisions are made by the doctor. However, you will be trained to explain the basic flow of decompression care, what patients can expect, and how the process works. Responsibilities include Answering calls, texts, and emails in a clear and professional way Responding quickly to inbound leads from Google ads, the website, phone calls, and email Calling and texting prospective patients who have expressed interest Scheduling chiropractic and spinal decompression consultations Following up with people who have not yet scheduled Following up with patients after consultations when appropriate Helping patients understand care plan logistics, visit frequency, and payment options Discussing fees and payment arrangements in a calm, confident, matter-of-fact way Helping patients stay consistent with their recommended visit schedule Checking patients in and out Collecting payments Managing the daily schedule and helping the office run on time Maintaining a clean, calm, professional front office and treatment environment Helping patients get set up on spinal decompression tables Preparing rooms for decompression visits Communicating clearly with the doctor about patient questions, concerns, or changes Supporting patient retention, reactivation, and review requests Tracking follow-up tasks so interested patients do not fall through the cracks Who we're looking for We are looking for someone who can balance warmth, professionalism, organization, and sales ability. This is not just a front desk job. The right person needs to be comfortable talking with people, following up, asking direct questions, discussing money, and helping patients commit to care when it is appropriate. You do not need to be a slick salesperson. In fact, that would probably be the wrong fit here. But you do need to be comfortable with sales, conversion, follow-up, and patient communication. A strong fit is someone who is: Reliable and punctual Warm, calm, and professional Sales-oriented without being pushy Comfortable talking with people by phone and in person Comfortable discussing fees, payment plans, and care logistics Organized enough to track leads and follow-up tasks Confident without being aggressive Persistent without being annoying Able to explain things clearly and simply Comfortable working in a small practice where your role directly affects growth Interested in helping the practice expand while still maintaining a high standard of care Comfortable being the first person at the office and helping set the tone for the day Patients trust people who are grounded, clear, and consistent. That is the type of sales style we want. What you'll need Strong phone and in-person communication skills Comfort with sales, follow-up, and patient conversion Comfort discussing appointments, care plans, fees, and payment arrangements Strong organizational habits and attention to detail Ability to track leads and follow up consistently Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn our scheduling and follow-up systems Reliability and punctuality — the front desk is central to the office running well A calm, professional way of communicating with patients Willingness to learn the spinal decompression process and assist with patient setup Ability to keep the office organized, clean, and running smoothly Nice to have, but not required Experience in a chiropractic, physical therapy, medical, dental, med spa, fitness, or wellness office Experience in healthcare sales, patient coordination, or treatment plan coordination Experience with lead follow-up or consult scheduling Experience discussing payment options or larger service packages Familiarity with scheduling or CRM software Familiarity with spinal decompression, rehab, bodywork, chiropractic, or physical medicine This may be a good fit if you have worked as a: Patient care coordinator Chiropractic assistant Medical front desk coordinator Dental treatment coordinator Med spa patient coordinator Fitness or wellness sales coordinator Physical therapy aide/front desk coordinator Healthcare customer service representative Schedule and compensation This is a part-time position, approximately 15 to 20 hours per week . Compensation is $20-$30/hour , depending on experience. There may be room for the role to grow as the practice and decompression program grow. To apply Please send your resume and a few sentences about why this role feels like a good fit for you. In your response, please include any experience you have with patient communication, sales, lead follow-up, healthcare, wellness, scheduling, or front desk work.
