Full Job Description Overall Summary :
This position will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and Social Services (BHSS). As part of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers under the leadership of the Director of BHSS, the Behavioral Health (BH) Manager will be responsible for supervising the clinical operation component of the BHSS program This includes supervision and guidance to program staff, leading efforts in BH integration as well as for identifying improvement opportunities and innovations, designed to positively impact care delivery processes for Behavioral Health participants.
Essential Responsibilities :
Responsible for supervising the day-to-day management of BH staff. Participate in selection and recommendation to hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff. Participate in the development of operational procedures that promote BH integration with medical, dental, vision and other departments, quality patient-centered care, productivity and revenue enhancement, risk management, cost savings, employee engagement and satisfaction. Participate in peer reviews planning committee Supervise and train BH externs in an effort to improve recruitment and retention of staff In coordination with the Planning and Development Department, provide high-level input on grants related to BH services in order to maintain department program goals. Ensure HIPAA and BACH policies and procedures are maintained related to the input and update of confidential client files and database. Ensure collection and maintenance of accurate, up-to-date program documentation. Monitor program specific contracts and budgets to assure completion of program goals and objectives, and assure adherence to State and County regulations. Coordinate routine and timely compilation and analysis of statistical data and preparation of reports to agency and funders as required by contract(s) or assigned by supervisor. Work within program budget and coordinate related purchasing. Coordinate work site preparation for clinic audits and serve as BH point-of-contact with Clinic Manager at time of audit. Participate in community needs assessment, program planning and program resource allocation activities. Coordinate with Outreach and Planning & Development to represent BACH programs at meetings and interface with potential and community entities as relevant to programs. Coordinate routine peer reviews, implementation, and maintenance and monitor BH programs policies and procedures. Monitor staff safety and compliance with approved organizational policy and procedures. Model department staff on effective customer service and de-escalation techniques. Model maintaining a professional and respectful environment that supports teamwork while promoting the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients, their families, co-workers and volunteers. Participate in the development of and implementation of the BHSS program's budget and business plan.
Secondary Responsibilities :
Attend workshops, training, and meetings as needed and as requested. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required education, experience, and training : Master's degree in Social Work and/or direct equivalent work experience. Minimum of two years' experience in behavioral health or related experience. Minimum one year of Supervisory or directly related Project Lead experience. Bilingual; Spanish highly desirable.

LCSW or Psychologist Physical Demands:
This position requires: Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal medical, clinical and administrative office environment, with some bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity for tasks involving standard office equipment and computer keyboard, including repetitive movements, such as typing. Traveling to work sites, including some exposure to outside elements. Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations, requiring adherence to extensive safety precautions and possibly the use of protective equipment.
Supervisor:
Managerial personnel (supervisors, managers, directors, executive management) who are exempt or non-exempt and who are responsible for use of independent judgment to make personnel decisions or to recommend personnel decisions. Personnel decisions include, but are not limited to: hiring, promoting, transferring, evaluating, rewarding and terminating employees.
