Job Description

Job Description As a Project Manager with an established healthcare project and construction management firm, you will be responsible for managing capital construction and infrastructure projects across a portfolio of healthcare facilities in Northern California. This is an on-site, position, requiring regular on-site presence to oversee project progress, ensure quality control, and collaborate with stakeholders. This is a long-term, ongoing project. Project Management & Delivery Manage assigned healthcare construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout. Coordinate project activities to support schedule, budget, quality, and operational objectives. Assist in the development and implementation of project work plans, schedules, and deliverables. Financial Management Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and commitments to support effective cost control. Review project invoices, change orders, and cost reports for accuracy and compliance. Identify potential budget and schedule risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including clinical leadership, operations, IT, and facilities teams, to support project requirements and operational continuity. Serve as a day-to-day liaison with architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Prepare project updates, meeting materials, and status reports for project teams and leadership. Regulatory & Compliance Support Support compliance with healthcare construction regulations, codes, and standards, including HCAI/OSHPD, Title 24, and local jurisdiction requirements. Coordinate permitting, inspections, and agency reviews. Assist in maintaining adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety requirements, and environmental regulations. Construction Administration & Site Coordination Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety. Facilitate coordination among project stakeholders to address RFIs, submittals, field issues, and schedule impacts. Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, schedules, logs, and status reports. Support contract administration and procurement activities involving consultants, contractors, and vendors. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with project teams to support successful project delivery. Coordinate meetings, prepare presentations, and assist with project planning and execution activities. Foster effective communication among project participants and support a collaborative project environment.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Experience in capital project management, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities.
  • Recent experience with
HCAI 1 / OSHPD 1
healthcare construction projects
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare construction regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
  • Certifications with CMAA, PMI or LEED
  • AIA or PE license
Pay:
Up to $180,000.00 per year
