Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 5+ years of healthcare construction experience to join our team in Santa Rosa, CA. This position will work directly with the owner and report to our president. You will work within a team of project managers and assistant project managers, helping deliver complex healthcare construction projects with the highest standards of quality, safety, and client service.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day execution of multi-phase healthcare construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications Coordinate with contractors, architects, consultants, and vendors to drive project progress and resolve field issues in a timely manner Monitor project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates to the Senior Construction Manager and flagging risks proactively Review plans, technical documents, and specifications to develop informed solutions and support sound decision-making Manage procurement and oversight of inspections, permits, and approvals required by local authorities and agencies throughout all construction phases Ensure all job sites remain safe, clean, and compliant with applicable safety and quality standards Communicate clearly and effectively on technical construction issues with both internal teams and external stakeholders Support continuous improvement efforts by contributing to standardized construction methods, procedures, and best practices Escalate on-site issues and emergencies to the Senior Construction Manager with clear, actionable information
Required Experience & Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience in healthcare construction, required Prior experience working for a healthcare-focused general contractor or construction management firm Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex construction projects from start to finish Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques specific to healthcare environments (OSHPD, ICRA/ etc.) Proficiency in construction estimating software and project management tools Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and technical documents Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Strong leadership presence with the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor junior staff
