Job Description

Grassini Family Vineyards, an award-winning estate in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley, is seeking a high-energy Hospitality & Event Manager to lead our short-term rental (STR) program and event operations. This is not simply an administrative role—it's a revenue-generating leadership position. As the face of our estate hospitality program, you will oversee everything from luxury weddings and corporate retreats to exclusive wine club experiences and overnight stays, all while maximizing occupancy, driving sales, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Working closely with the Grassini family and leadership team, you'll integrate events and overnight stays into broader business objectives while developing innovative hospitality initiatives that elevate our brand and strengthen guest loyalty. This position is ideal for a highly organized, self-motivated professional with a passion for luxury hospitality, relationship-building, sales, and exceptional guest service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development :
Act as the primary brand ambassador, handling all inquiries and site tours for STR, events, and weddings. Expertly manage the entire sales pipeline from initial contact and site visits through contract negotiation, closing, and relationship building with luxury vendors and planners.
STR & Event Operations:
Oversee all aspects of the short-term rental (STR) program and event execution, including communication, logistical coordination, and on-site representation to ensure seamless, high-end experiences that maximize occupancy and revenue.
Contract & Pricing Strategy:
Own the drafting, negotiation and customization of event contracts and establish strategic pricing structures to optimize estate revenue.
Vendor & Liability Compliance:
Verify all vendor credentials, ensuring strict adherence to estate rules and insurance requirements.
Property Preservation & Quality Control:
Provide on-site management from event setup through final strike to ensure the property is preserved and that the estate maintains its ultra-premium presentation.
Strategic Integration:
Collaborate with the wine club manager and leadership to integrate events and overnight stays into broader membership goals and pioneer new hospitality initiatives.
Business Development:
Actively build referral relationships with local luxury vendors, wedding planners, corporate partners, and concierge services to drive new group bookings.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5 years of luxury hospitality, event sales, or high-end estate/STR management experience
Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication; strong sales negotiation skills; proficiency with STR booking platforms and event management CRM tools.
Availability:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, to mirror event calendars and guest check-ins.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods on varied, uneven vineyard and estate terrain, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs (e.g., event supplies, cases of wine).
Compensation:
Base Salary:
$70,000 - $85,000 annually (Dependent upon experience)
Commissions:
Will be a percentage of all new revenue generated, including new STR bookings, new event bookings, new corporate events, etc.
