Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Biologic Coordinator to join our Medication Department. This role is responsible for managing specialty and biologic medications for dermatology patients from prescription initiation through medication delivery and ongoing treatment support. The ideal candidate has experience with prior authorizations, specialty pharmacy workflows, insurance verification, infusion coordination, and patient communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment. We are looking to fill position in: Thousand Oaks and Sherman Oaks, CA Responsibilities Process and track biologic and specialty medication prescriptions Complete benefits investigations and insurance verification Submit and follow up on prior authorizations and appeals Coordinate with specialty pharmacies and manufacturer assistance programs Assist patients with copay assistance and financial support programs Coordinate home infusion and nursing services for eligible patients Schedule and coordinate infusion appointments and home nurse visits Communicate with infusion providers, home health agencies, and specialty pharmacies regarding patient care and medication delivery Communicate with providers, medical assistants, pharmacies, and patients regarding treatment updates Maintain accurate documentation and tracking logs Follow up on medication shipment status and refill coordination Ensure timely turnaround on all assigned cases Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications Prior authorization experience required Dermatology, specialty pharmacy, biologics, or infusion coordination experience preferred Pharmacy Technician experience preferred Familiarity with CoverMyMeds and EMR systems preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
