Our group helps and supports each other by utilizing technology like Electronic Medical Records. This allows our various specialists to accurately track patient's medical histories reducing errors, speeding information in cases of emergency and providing a continuum of care. This position may be required to obtain industry related certification. With our growing organization, we are seeking a position of Clinical Support Technician to assist in daily operations and trainings for our fast-paced locations. This position is located in Tulare and commutes 25% of the time. Essential Functions, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Configures, tests, monitors and supports the EMR during implementations, upgrades, go-lives, and post go-live support periods. Provides go-live coaching and support. Assess learning needs of staff and develops training to improve employee knowledge. Trains new hires and existing staff (providers and other clinical staff) in the use of the NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the Electronic Dental Record (EDR) Utilizes knowledge and skills of healthcare background to ensure that clinical information systems are consistent with standards of clinical practice. Develops and maintains a comprehensive understanding of EPM/EHR features, issues, forthcoming enhancements, and services. Coordinates ongoing EHR training for staff and providers that is effective and timely; and performs audits and corrective actions to ensure validity/integrity of data in EHR system. Participates in planning activities related to future direction of EMR implementation Monitors activities related to organizational initiatives such as MU, PCMH, PQRS, etc. Trains staff on new applications through group and one-on-one instruction. Works closely with both clinical and technical staffing to plan and execute implementation projects. Identifies and develops super-users at selected locations. Completes weekly status reports. Assists with the creation of educational materials such as user guides, process flow charts, training materials etc. Participates in professional development activities. Performs other related duties as required. Experience working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's) and their specific patient populations is preferred. This position requires training, project management, troubleshooting and customer service experience. Preferred Education and Experience Degree or certification in healthcare related field (Recommended) NextGen Certified Professional, NCP (Recommended) Knowledge of Core Office Applications - PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio. Communicates effectively with team members and provides constructive suggestions to improve team performance. Work Environment Office environment with controlled temperature. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Little to no travel is expected for this position. Typical example of travel would be driving to Altura's various clinic locations.
