As a member of the management team and in collaboration with the Medical Director dyad partner, the John Muir Health Physician Practices (JMHPP) Director, Multi-Specialty Practice Operations is a subject matter expert in multi-specialty practice operations and is responsible for the management of Multi-Specialty operations and programmatic development, is responsible for the execution of metric-driven and high performing practice operations. The Director of Practice Operations works in partnership with the Vice President of Practice Operations, Performance Improvement team, peer Executive Director team, and physician leadership to provide operational direction and administrative leadership across specialty locations, oversees provider, patient and staff experience in partnership with their dedicated physician dyad. drives industry leading performance by implementing budgetary, operational, and strategic plans for all Multi-Specialty divisions. Director participates in cross continuum service line structure with Multi-Specialty Service Line Executive Directors and provides input into ambulatory strategy development, specifically for specialty and service line strategies for growth and operational improvements. The Director will measure success of practice performance against financial, operational, and clinical performance metrics and benchmarks identified by the JMHPP leadership team and will develop and implement course correction activities as needed. The Director enforces standardized operations across all assigned practice sites and ensures adherence to policies and procedures set forth by senior leadership. Also, the Director is responsible for the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives developed by JMHPP leadership across practice sites, inclusive of service line priorities. Additionally, the Director collaborates with Medical Group Leadership and foundation-based physicians to optimize practice operations, clinical quality measures, patient flow, access, revenue cycle (as applicable), and overall financial health. The Director is also responsible for performance results in patient, provider, and staff experience through upholding and promoting internal and external service standards. In support of a high performing staff, the Director facilitates professional development through practice manager training and mentorship. The Director reports to the JMHPP Vice President, Practice Operations. Direct reports for this role are assigned practice managers supervisors and RN Regional Manager. The Director operates the practices in partnership with the Medical Director dyad. The Director focuses more so on administrative, business and operational items while the Medical Director focuses more so on clinical and provider specific items. The Director serves as the single point of contact for high-level practice site course correction implementations, operational partnerships, and metric-driven practice reporting. The scope of this position includes managing and visiting all practice sites within the assigned region to ensure best practice operations are being implemented and followed and to foster professional relationships with the staff and providers. Director of Muli-Specialty Practice Operations is responsible for maintaining productive relationships with hospital service line directors/executive directors, practice managers directors, performance improvement/programmatic, strategic and marketing leadership. The Multi-Specialty Practice Operations Director will also manage Joint Venture relationships by acting as key point of contact for JV leadership.Education:
Associate Degree (Or 7 years of experience)- Required Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred MBA, MHA, MPH, NP, PA, or other related graduate degree
Preferred Experience:
5 years Management- Progressive Leadership in an Ambulatory/Physician Practice
- Required Team Building

- Required Working with Physicians, Building Strong and Trusting Relationships with Physician Leaders
Required Additional Experience Requirements:
Strong operations management experience in leading primary care or regionally oriented practices with greater than 15 physiciansPreferred Certifications/ Licensures:
A continuous learner who can demonstrate competencies as outlined in the medical practice Body of Knowledge through professional achievement in attaining Certification/Fellowship in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (Medical Group Management Association), and/or in American College of Healthcare Executives- Preferred Lean Six Sigma Certification

Ability to make timely and informed decisions as well as the ability to delegate A high level of comfort, knowledge and experience regarding finance, cost control, access, productivity enhancement, government regulations and reimbursement methodologies An understanding and appreciation for clinic operations, including significant continuous quality improvement expertise and interest in operational improvements Comfort and familiarity with computer systems, programs, and applications with an ability to instill this in others Ability to develop a strong, successful, and responsive management team that is quality oriented, metric driven, and focused on customer service Delivers written and verbal communication in a clear, concise, compelling manner to effectively engage others and achieve desired results Advanced skills in the arts of negotiation and persuasion Excellent physician relation skills and ability to engage physicians by providing valuable insights and logical explanations when faced with difficult questions Ability to think creatively and strategically and develop innovative solutions to challenging problemsWork Shift:
Exempt Salaried (United States of America)Pay Range:
$174,615.00- $261,922.
