Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Home Health Director of Nursing (Clinical Manager-Director of Patient Care Services) to lead our home health care operations with passion and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing services, managing clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards including Medicare and HIPAA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing administration, home health services, and The Joint Commission accredidation surveys demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. Duties Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel. Review and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs in the home settings. Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Provides guidance to coordinators and Clinical Supervisors/Nursing Supervisors to assist them in continually improving all aspects of home health care services, provided through organization personnel. Monitor quality assurance processes by reviewing care documentation, conducting audits on medical records, and ensuring accurate coding for Medicare reimbursement. Evaluates performance of Clinical Supervisors/Nursing Supervisors annually, or more frequently if indicated. Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws. Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations governing home health services, including documentation review for compliance with Medicare standards. Plans and implements inservice and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of organization personnel. Assists with the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement program, productivity, quarterly and annual reviews. Assures for the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the Organization. Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers Organization policies and procedures. Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and, maintains compliance to the Joint Commission Home Care standards. Experience The Clinical Director/Director of Patient Care Services shall qualify for the position by fulfilling the requirements: Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State or a licensed physician in the state. Minimum one year of experience as an adminstrator or previous DPCS in the home health setting Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making and Quality Management review and evaluation. Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making and Quality Management review and evaluation. Demonstrated expertise in handling medical records systems like EMR/EHR platforms along with documentation review processes. In-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations, HIPAA compliance requirements, and medical terminology relevant to diverse patient populations. Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and Joint Commission standards. Strong leadership skills complemented by effective communication abilities to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Experience coordinating interdisciplinary care plans that incorporate physiology and anatomy principles for optimal resident outcomes.
Pay:
