SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Clinical Supervisor provides overall assistance to staff in the unit including, but not limited to, supervision of staff, monitoring staff productivity and completion of all required documentation, chart reviews, community outreach and networking to promote services, staff training, and consultation for agency staff serving young children. The Clinical Supervisor promotes and models a strength based approach to treatment that empowers families, supports a community based philosophy of service, and ensures that all clinical services are aligned with the agency's mission, vision, and core values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff collecting hours towards licensure as well as licensed staff Ensure that clinical staff meet legal and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., California Board of Behavioral Sciences) Review psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes of supervisees Conduct trainings for staff on topics related to working with young children Assist or respond to crisis calls and other emergencies as needed (e.g., threats of suicide, school, home or community emergencies) Work with Program Manager/Director to provide support and/or coverage Assist Director in ensuring that requirements of all contracts are met Assist with the overall implementation of evidence-based practices including program development opportunities using EBPs Participate in consultation calls and administrative calls Assist Director in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with community agencies Assist with data collection and analysis for DMH, annual report, CBOC, etc. Attend meetings and trainings internally and externally Participate in on call rotation and assists with evening closure Maintain a small caseload of clients as schedule permits Assist Director/Managing Director with overall management of the unit Provide indirect administrative oversight to receptionists, intake coordinators and medical records staff as needed Conduct quarterly chart reviews and actively engage in QA/QI and RPM workgroup Monitor and assist clinicians with onboarding and offboarding to ensure cases meet agency standards and continuity of care. Other duties as assigned to meet agency needs
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Required A Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Psychology Program Must be licensed a minimum of two (2) years as a LCSW or MFT A minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical experience working with emotional and behavioral problems in children Experience working with psychosis related conditions in children, transitional aged youth and adults Experience working in a community-based setting with culturally and socioeconomically diverse families Completion of the mandatory supervision training courses required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to supervise ASWs and/or MFT Interns Experience in DMH, evidence-based practices, and electronic health record system. Excellent written and communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively use and teach

0-3R Detail oriented, able to follow up on concerns, and accurate record keeping Ability to be an excellent representative of the agency to the community
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employee will be expected to get LPS designation Employee may be asked to participate in cross-training programs, work overtime, or pursue additional education or training when it is determined to be in the best interest of the company by the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a normal office setting with need to work out in the field contacting clients in homes and schools and working with partners at community sites. Noise level is moderate with occasional loud outbursts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, (i.e., calculator, copy machine and computer printer) Constantly converses with staff and clients Frequently needs to position self in order to effectively interact with children of lesser stature Occasionally needs to transport materials (toys, books, etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds for therapeutic activities The Whole Child is an equal employment opportunity employer and no candidate for employment will be rejected on account of race, color, religion, national origin, age, marital status, or sex.
