Job Description

Job Overview Join a welcoming private family dental practice as a Dental Front Desk Administrator/Receptionist, where your energetic and positive attitude will be the first impression for our patients. We believe great patient experiences start the moment someone walks through the door (or picks up the phone), and we're looking for someone who feels the same way. In this vital role, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, handle insurance claims, verifications and ensure smooth office operations. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help create a comfortable environment for our patients while supporting the clinical team with essential administrative functions. Please be advised that we are only reviewing candidates who possess prior professional experience as a dental front desk administrator or receptionist. This specific experience is a mandatory requirement for the position. If you do not have the required background in dental administration, we kindly ask that you do not apply at this time. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, including intake forms and medical history updates Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix, ensuring optimal patient flow Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and perform insurance eligibility checks using systems like Delta Dental Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls and answering patient inquiries promptly Maintain accurate dental records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation standards Handle billing including processing payments and following up on outstanding balances Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized dental records and office supplies Experience Prior, preferably long-term, experience in a dental front desk role is mandatory Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology and coding Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and familiarity with health information management systems Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence and professional communication What We Offer Competitive compensation Paid time off Monthly performance based bonus Full-time position with stable, consistent hours A warm, team-focused workplace where you're valued The close-knit feel of a small practice with a big reputation Join us in providing compassionate dental care while enjoying a collaborative work environment that values your skills and dedication.
