The House Manager/Administrator supervises, facilitates and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the residence ensuring and providing holistic and person-centered resident care in accordance with state, federal and local regulations and current standards of practice. Summary of Job Duties :
In addition to the essential function of the role, the House Manager/Administrator will direct and/or participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, activities, measures and resources related to the organization's purpose, practices/core values, promises of quality, and administration to ensure that the mission of the organization is communicated effectively and integrated into all aspects of the organization. This includes:
Supervising the day-to-day delivery of personal care services including activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure residents receive the care that is described in the resident agreement, the comprehensive resident assessment, and the resident care plan, Facilitate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling qualified personnel and volunteers which includes preparation and maintenance of personnel/volunteer files, documentation, reporting, and confidentiality, Supervising caregiving staff, volunteers and qualified medication administration persons (QMAPs) to ensure they comply at a minimum with state regulations and with the medication administration requirements and limitations in 6 CCR 1011-1 Ch 24 and CRS Sec 25-1.5-301 through 25-1.5-303, and be available when needed to fill-in for staff during "call-offs" or other emergency situations to ensure residents are well cared for, Ensuring and/or providing continuing education and training for caregiving staff and volunteers, Ensuring required publicly disclosed documents are readily available to residents and the public and/or posted at the residence, Completing, maintaining, and submitting reports and records required by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning licensure, certification, and operations, Direct and participate in resident admission and discharge services which includes assessing residents and developing and implementing individualized care plans, Supervise the organization's Quality Management Program that provides for evaluative and quality improvement processes related to the residence's performance and defining quality goals and improvement opportunities, Serving as the residence's Privacy Officer and Infection Control Officer ensuring that staff are adequately trained in, and adhere to, infection control protocols and that related reporting is filed with the appropriate regulatory agencies, Performs other duties as assigned, Must align with the Christian values and mission of Owen-Larson HOPE Homes, Education, Certification, Licensure:
Required :
Must be) at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have at least one year experience supervising the delivery of personal care services including ADLs, have an active Certified Nurse Aide license and be a Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) in the state of Colorado. Must be certified in CPR and obstructed airway techniques and Adult First Aid through a nationally recognized organization. If not currently a qualified Colorado Administrator, must be able to pass (employer-paid), state required 40-hour Administrator training within 30 days of hire. Preferred :
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or human services and at least 1 year of experience in healthcare during the previous 10-year period or meet other education and work experience requirements as outlined in 6 CCR 1011-1 Chapter 7 section 6.3. Physical Requirements :
The job includes standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and moderate lifting and carrying activities throughout the day. Must have good vision, good hearing, and verbal communication skills to communicate with residents, family members, employees and professionals.
