THE HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE
Where Talent Meets Opportunity Inpatient Pharmacy Manager Rocky Mountain Region A highly desirable Rocky Mountain community is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager to lead the operational and clinical functions of inpatient pharmacy services. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance daily pharmacy operations, medication safety, clinical support, staff development, and technology optimization in a smaller hospital setting with advanced care capabilities. The organization has earned notable quality recognition, including Top 100 and Top 20 Rural & Community Hospital honors and a CMS Five-Star Overall Hospital Quality Rating. It is also in the midst of an Epic implementation with Spring 2026 go-live, making this an especially compelling opportunity for a pharmacy leader with Epic Willow Inpatient experience. What you'll own You will provide leadership across: Inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication distribution, sterile compounding, ADCs, controlled substances, and inventory management Regulatory compliance, Joint Commission standards, and state/federal requirements Drug purchasing, shortage mitigation, waste reduction, and operational stewardship Medication safety, adverse event review, and quality/process improvement Formulary support, medication utilization review, and P&T-related work Epic Willow Inpatient workflows, including dispense logic, order routing, inventory functionality, clinical decision support, documentation tools, and reporting Direct leadership of pharmacists and technicians, including hiring, training, scheduling, competency development, and performance management Collaboration with nursing, providers, IT, quality, and hospital leadership on medication-use processes across the organization What they're looking for PharmD required Active Colorado pharmacist license required Hospital pharmacy experience required Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services Experience leading pharmacists and technicians Epic Willow Inpatient strongly preferred Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, medication safety, workflow optimization, and interdisciplinary communication BLS and ACLS through AHA About the lifestyle This opportunity is based in a four-season Rocky Mountain community known for outdoor access, trail systems, river recreation, skiing, and a strong quality-of-life draw.
