Job Description

Patient Care Coordinator ECCO Medical | Lone Tree, CO | Full-Time, Monday-Friday About ECCO Medical ECCO Medical (Endovascular Consultants of Colorado) is a physician-owned outpatient interventional radiology and endovascular practice serving patients across Colorado and beyond. Our board-certified, fellowship-trained team specializes in minimally invasive treatments for arterial disease, uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate, knee osteoarthritis, venous disease, non-healing wounds, and liver cancer — all delivered in a safe, comfortable outpatient setting. We're a growing practice with locations in Lone Tree and Pueblo, and we're expanding our team to support that growth. This role is based at our Lone Tree office. Position Summary The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for every patient who walks through our doors or calls our office. With a strong customer service orientation, you'll register patients, manage the phones, prepare the front office for the day, schedule appointments and procedures, and collect copays. Prior authorization experience is a plus. This is a tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift throughout the day. We're looking for someone who can pivot quickly between tasks, reprioritize on the fly, and stay organized when the schedule, the phones, and the front desk are all demanding attention at once — a true team player who steps in wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly.

Operations Manager Qualifications High school diploma required 2+ years of experience in a medical office strongly preferred Experience with eClinicalWorks EHR preferred Working knowledge of managed care and health insurance plans Pre-authorization experience a plus Ability to shift quickly between tasks, reprioritize as the day unfolds, and stay focused under pressure Proven experience working with patients and families, including handling difficult conversations Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Pleasant phone presence Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Phones Open and close the office daily according to established protocols Answer the phone professionally; route calls or take messages as appropriate Schedule patient appointments and procedures using physician-specified protocols, capturing accurate demographic and insurance information Explain to patients what to bring to their appointment, provide a range of potential charges and patient financial responsibility, and offer scheduling options that follow physician-approved guidelines Inform new and established patients of our payment-at-time-of-service policy and ensure they understand what to bring (referral, imaging, prior test results, etc.) Send appointment reminders for all visits and procedures via the EHR messaging system Daily Preparation Ensure all charts for the following day's appointments have the necessary paperwork and records Check-In & Registration Greet patients warmly as they arrive Provide new patient paperwork and ensure required signatures are obtained Verify demographic and insurance information for new and established patients; scan insurance cards (front and back) Enter referring physician information accurately Explain financial and collection policies and provide written guidelines Ensure all patient paperwork is complete before the patient is seen Communicate with patients in the reception area when providers are running behind; offer to reschedule when appropriate Collect copays at the time of service Check-Out Schedule follow-up appointments and procedures before the patient leaves General Office Support Screen visitors and respond to routine requests for information Ensure faxes are distributed appropriately throughout the day Sort incoming reports and route to the appropriate provider Open, date stamp, and distribute mail daily Maintain a clean, professional reception area Support physician requests throughout the day Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all practice compliance guidelines Maintain working knowledge of practice management software and other systems relevant to the role Attend all regular staff meetings Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Physician Physical Demands Work may require sitting for extended periods, as well as stooping, bending, and reaching for files and supplies. The employee may occasionally lift files or paperwork up to 30 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, computer, telephone, calculator, copier, and other standard office equipment. Position involves prolonged screen time and typing. Working Conditions Work is performed in a reception area with frequent patient contact. The environment can be fast-paced and at times stressful. Interaction with others is constant, and the role involves regular contact with patients who may be ill or anxious. Comfort with collecting payment at time of service is essential.
