Job Description

TheCoordinatorofAcademicSupportprovidesintensiveassistancetoBehavioralHealth(BEH)students to include tutoring, referrals, mentoring, career exploration, and transfer activities. The Coordinator creates educational action plans (EAPs) and provides transfer and workforce coaching. Review of applications begins immediately and closes at 5pm (Mountain) on May 22, 2026. The annual salary for this position is $57,400 and may be up to 5% higher depending on relevant experience, education, and certifications when compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee that an offer will be above this value. An employee must be a resident of Colorado or reside in Colorado on the first day of employment. This position is grant-funded and there is no expectation of employment beyond the duration of the grant. EssentialFunctions Initiatesandcoordinatesacomprehensivestudentadvisingprocessforall BEH students. Providesacademicadvisingservicestomaximizepersistenceof students. Assistsstudentscreateapersonaldevelopment/EducationalActionPlanforeach semester. Assistsstudentsidentifytheirstrengths,interests,andabilities,andexplainshowtheseareas relate to BEH majors/careers. Assistsstudentswithexploringcareeroptionsandpreparingforthe workforce. Assistsinfinancialaid,career,andtransfer services. Leadsretentionprogramsandactivities,includingtrackingstudentprogressin courses. Reviewsandinterpretsacademicskillsandassessmenttodetermineappropriatecourse placement. Leveragestechnologicaltools,includingBannerStudentInformationSystem,DegreeCheck, EAB Navigate, and Student database. Maintainsstudentfiles,records,anddatainaccordancewithfederal,state,system,andcollege operating procedures and protocols. Identifiesactivitiesorresourcestofosterstudentacademicpersistenceand success. Preparesanddisseminatesretentiondata reports. Researchesandprovidesbest-practiceretentionstrategiestotheBEHDepartment Team. InitiatesandprocessesEABNavigateprogressreport campaigns. UsesEarlyAlertsystemtomonitorstudentclassstatusandanyissues/concernsreportedby faculty or instructors. PreparesandmaintainstheBEHStudent database. CoordinatesthesubmissionofrequiredinformationandreportsaccordingtotheDepartmentof Education Annual Performance Report timeline. Develops and leads workshops that enhance soft skills, study skills, mental health, career opportunities,advisingandretentioninitiativesforthe BEHprogram,includingOrientations. Assistswithprogramminginfinancialliteracy,transferassistance,careerexplorationand preparation, student success workshops, and academic, cultural, and career enrichment activities. AdditionalFunctions Worksindependentlywithlittlesupervisionoraspartofa team. Communicateeffectivelywithstudents,faculty,staff,colleagues,and others. May teach up to 6 credit hours per semester to meet program instructional needs in 1000/2000 level courses. Interactprofessionallyandrespectfullywithstudents,faculty,staff,colleagues,and others. Assessesindividualanddepartmentworkprocessesandrecommends improvements. ComplieswithStateFiscalRules,StateBoardpolicies,SystemandCollegeprotocols,and departmental procedures. Obtainsandmaintainsproficiencywiththerequiredsystemsand equipment. Maintainsconfidentialityofstudentandemployeeinformationas required. Completesallrequiredcompliancetrainingwithintheestablished timeline. Servesoncommitteesandothergroups assigned. Education Associates degree in social work, behavioral health, counseling, or similar,fromaregionallyaccreditedinstitution. Experience Threeyearsworkinginhighereducationorwithdisadvantagedadultsand/or youth. At least two years of related professional experience in higher education or health care administration. Demonstratedexperiencesuccessfullybuilding,fostering,andmaintainingeducationaland community relationships. ExperienceinBehavioralHealth,workinginaBehavioralHealthfieldorworkingwithBehavioral Health students. License/Certification Possession of or ability to obtain Colorado CTE credential. Unencumbered professional license or state credential in discipline. Knowledge,Skills,Abilities Knowledgeoflaws,accreditationstandards,and bestpracticespertainingtostudentadvising, career planning, curriculum mapping, and BEH occupations. ProficiencywithMicrosoftOffice;workingknowledgeofEllucianBannerandEAB Navigate. Travel FremontorMancos,CO locations ConferenceswithinoroutsideofColorado Schedule Weekdays(StatebusinesshoursareMonday-Friday,8:00am- 5:00pm) Infrequentweekendand/oreveninghours required
