Clinical Director - Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services Outside Denver, Colorado | Full-Time |
Permanent Salary:
$135K plus sign-on bonus at start and 90 days later Relocatable candidates welcome and relocation assistance available HealthCare Recruiters International is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to lead a residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility with an on-site medical detox unit located outside Denver, Colorado. Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight
  • Provide leadership and oversight for detox, residential, and inpatient clinical services
  • Ensure delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered, and trauma-informed treatment
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programming and treatment modalities
  • Promote continuity of care across all levels of treatment
  • Partner with executive leadership to support program growth, performance, and patient outcomes
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence Staff Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise and mentor clinical managers, therapists, counselors, and licensed staff
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure staffing, credentialing, and licensure compliance
  • Support staff development, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Address performance concerns professionally and effectively Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements
  • Oversee clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, and medical necessity
  • Lead quality improvement and performance management initiatives
  • Participate in risk management, incident reviews, and corrective action planning
  • Prepare for audits, surveys, and accreditation reviews Qualifications Required Education & Licensure
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
  • Active and unrestricted clinical license in the state of employment (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent); LAC candidates welcome Experience
  • 4+ years of clinical experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in residential, inpatient, or detox settings
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing clinical teams Work Environment
  • On-site within a residential or inpatient treatment setting
  • Some evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities may be required Benefits
