This role provides direct program leadership for after-school, summer, and supportive service programs while ensuring trauma-informed, youth-centered, and clinically appropriate care. The Therapeutic Program Manager works closely with clinicians, case managers, DCF personnel, families, and community providers to ensure youth receive high-quality therapeutic programming, behavioral support, and care coordination. The role also supports compliance with DCF and ABH standards, maintains accurate client documentation, and assists with staff supervision and program quality improvement initiatives. Coordinate therapeutic programming and daily operations for youth participating in FCYE services. Support implementation of trauma-informed behavioral interventions and therapeutic activities. Assist with clinical coordination for youth receiving supportive and therapeutic services. Monitor youth engagement, participation, progress, and behavioral needs. Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral response planning when necessary. Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive therapeutic environment for all youth. Participate in intake and assessment processes for referred youth. Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation and service records. Track and communicate updates related to youth placements, education, behavioral concerns, medication changes, and case status. Collaborate regularly with DCF workers, clinicians, schools, and service providers. Attend case review meetings, treatment planning meetings, and care coordination meetings as needed. Ensure incident reports and documentation are completed promptly and accurately. Ensure programs operate in compliance with DCF and ABH standards. Maintain organized documentation for program audits, credentialing, and licensing requirements. Support policy and procedure implementation and updates. Assist leadership in monitoring program effectiveness and quality improvement efforts.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with youth, behavioral health, foster care, or therapeutic programming. Experience working with DCF-involved youth strongly preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, youth development, crisis intervention, and behavioral support strategies. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced youth-serving environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. Compensation/Benefits:
$65,000.00 plus employee benefits. Full-time, salaried position. Some evening and weekend availability required. On-site with occasional travel to meetings, trainings, and community events. Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Evening/weekend hours may occasionally be required for organizational events and youth programming. Pay:
