Job Description

Overview We are a small medical office, focusing on IV nutritional such as Myers cocktails, weight loss injections with the GLP1, and primary care. Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Coordinator, where your energy and organizational skills will make a meaningful difference in patient care. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate documentation, and seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Your proactive approach will help foster a welcoming environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in medical administrative processes. Duties Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule patient appointments efficiently, coordinating with medical providers to optimize clinic flow. Collect and update patient information accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Assist with medical billing processes, including coding procedures using DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems. Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with privacy regulations and organizational standards. Support clinical staff by managing referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks related to patient care. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical billing software is essential for success in this role. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding procedures (including
DRG, CPT, ICD-9/10
), and medical records management is required. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
