The Manager of Harm Reduction Services provides operational management of multi-state syringe services programs at Us Helping Us People Into Living, Inc. The role involves supporting the day-to-day programmatic operations, successfully implementing programmatic work plans, and monitoring key performance indicators in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This role supports the Harm Reduction Coordinators in the successful execution of project work plans, implementation of the fidelity model of syringe services programs, and meeting state-specific deliverables. In addition, the Manager supports early intervention and outpatient-level substance use services. The Manager of Harm Reduction reports to the Director of Community Health and Health Equity. Responsibilities:
Provides direct and indirect supervision and personnel management of multi-state SSP teams. Ensures teams fully understand state-specific work plans and supports Coordinators with implementation. Assist teams with problem-solving and developing solutions that align with SSP state-specific grant deliverables. Performs quality assurance and team observations to ensure activities align with project scope. Use performance improvement strategies to monitor KPIs and progress reports performance. Use performance-level data to partner with senior leadership on new business, grant opportunities, and strategic footprint. Collaborates with the evaluation team on reporting, health registry, and monitoring outcomes of care provided to clients served. Ensures standardization of operations across multi-state teams. Participates in local, state, and federal meetings, forums, and workgroups. Gathers state and district legislation and communicates programmatic impact to senior leadership. Updates SOPs, Policies, and Procedures in collaboration with the Director. Assist in sustainability planning and business case development in collaboration with Senior leadership. Provides training on harm reduction strategies and technical assistance in collaboration with the CBA team. Provides direct mental health and substance services to a small caseload Other duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to successfully manage in a matrix environment Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders, Harm Reduction Framework, Sexual Health Education and Trends, and LGBT Affairs. Strong personnel and employee relations management skills Proven experience in training, process improvement, quality assurance, and performance metrics environment. Ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment. 2 to 3 years of leadership experience in community-based, healthcare, or non-profit LGSW or LGPC in the District of Columbia Required Maryland LGSW optional Strong engagement and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask between duties. Working Conditions:
Occasional evening and weekend work is required for events, trainings, and workshops. Must be willing to work in inner-city conditions, including service delivery on an MTU. Equal Opportunity Employer:
