What You'll Do At BCCS:

Responsible for reviewing and approving intakes/assessment and ensuring that clients are placed in the correct level of care. Conduct and promote staff orientation, training, and development. Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff. Ensure that counselors follow agency policies and procedures. Meet with assigned clients to formulate and execute clinical goals. Assign clients to counselors / case managers. Provide regular and specially requested reports Provide outreach and educational activities in the community. Resolve counselor / client conflicts. Promote staff morale and conduct supervision with staff on a weekly basis. Participates in weekly treatment team meetings. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of Drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices. Knowledge of population being served and available resources. Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document the progress of clients. May require crisis intervention to emergency situations. Skill in establishing rapport with clients. Knowledge of Supervision practices Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Requirements:

Qualifications for the position are:

REQUIRED

: Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field

REQUIRED

: 3 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health

REQUIRED

: 1 year of supervisory experience. Within 1 year, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) if not already certified.

PREFERRED

CADC, CCDP, LPC, or

LCSW, PREFERRED

5 years' experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The compensation package for this position includes: Group medical, dental, and vision coverage with low employee costs 34 paid days off annually Tuition reimbursement A retirement plan with a company match of up to 4%!
