Job Description

Interim Pharmacy Manager Georgetown, DE A 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Georgetown, Delaware is seeking an Interim Pharmacy Manager to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a defined short-term assignment from July 7 through July 22, 2026. This is a working manager role combining direct pharmacy staffing coverage with full PIC oversight responsibilities. The pharmacy operates with support from Cardinal Health Remote Order Entry Services and does not involve chemotherapy compounding. Schedule Full-time, up to 40 hours per week. Pharmacy hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend and on-call coverage may be required. Onsite in Georgetown, DE. Compensation $70 Per Hour. Commensurate with experience. What You'll Do As Interim Pharmacy Manager and PIC, you will assume full pharmacist-in-charge responsibilities for the duration of the assignment, ensuring the pharmacy operates in compliance with Delaware Board of Pharmacy regulations and all applicable federal and state requirements. You will provide direct pharmacy staffing coverage, supervise pharmacy technicians, and oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will support medication management for the hospital's inpatient population, maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency throughout the dispensing and clinical support workflow. Regulatory and operational compliance documentation is an ongoing responsibility of the PIC role. You will work within an existing pharmacy infrastructure supported by Cardinal Health Remote Order Entry Services, and will be expected to integrate quickly and function independently from day one. Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited program Active Pharmacist license in Delaware, or ability to obtain Delaware licensure prior to the July 7 start date Hospital pharmacy experience IV compounding experience Prior PIC or pharmacy leadership experience Ability to assume independent operational responsibility in a short-term interim capacity Preferred Qualifications Experience with Pyxis automated dispensing systems Experience with WellSky pharmacy software Background in inpatient rehabilitation or post-acute hospital pharmacy settings Familiarity with Cardinal Health Remote Order Entry workflows Experience managing pharmacy technician staff in a hospital environment Compensation and Benefits Compensation commensurate with experience Short-term interim assignment, July 7 to July 22, 2026 To apply, submit your resume through this posting.
