Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the home health care agency, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to policies and procedures Supervise clinical and administrative staff, including nurses, case managers, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment Manage patient care programs by coordinating services, monitoring quality standards, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare laws Implement utilization management strategies to optimize resource use while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements Conduct case management activities, including assessments, care planning, and coordination for diverse patient populations such as senior care, hospice care, or acute care cases Oversee budgeting processes, financial planning, and resource allocation to support sustainable operations Ensure staff training on medical terminology, medical records management, EMR/EHR systems, and HIPAA compliance Collaborate with healthcare providers across various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals (including ICU and Level I Trauma Centers), and emergency medicine units Skills Extensive experience in healthcare management with a focus on home care or related settings Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation and data analysis, AXXESS or WellSky across diverse healthcare settings such as hospice care, senior care facilities, or hospital medicine Ability to handle budgeting, utilization management, and resource planning efficiently Excellent communication skills to coordinate with healthcare providers Knowledge of medical records protocols and familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) processes for long-term care facilities Job post summary Administrator/Director, Medicare-Certified Skilled Home Health Agency www.seasidehh.com
