Competitive, based on experience Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Coordinator/Superintendent to oversee all field operations for the renovation of the Plantation Inn at Crystal River, a historic hospitality property undergoing extensive renovation and improvement work. This position represents the owner's interests in ensuring quality, contractor coordination and safety. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring high-quality execution throughout all phases of the renovation. This role will initially begin on a part-time basis during preconstruction and early mobilization and may transition into a full-time position as project activity increases. Hospitality renovation experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working in active or partially occupied environments and coordinating multiple trades in a fast-paced renovation setting. Responsibilities
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Maintain project schedule and assist in short-interval planning
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards
  • Conduct daily site walks and maintain field reports/documentation
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, construction issues, and sequencing challenges
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • Monitor workmanship and enforce quality control standards
  • Assist with procurement coordination and delivery scheduling
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsite conditions
  • Communicate regularly with project management, ownership representatives, architects, and consultants
  • Participate in project meetings and provide schedule/status updates
  • Help minimize disruption to hotel operations if portions of the property remain occupied during renovation Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman on commercial construction projects
  • Hospitality, hotel renovation, resort, multifamily, or healthcare renovation experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and fast-paced renovation activities
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and jobsite safety practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
  • Proficient with smartphones, email, and basic construction documentation software
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Preferred Experience
  • Hotel renovation or occupied renovation projects
  • Interior renovations, site improvements, FF&E coordination, and finish work oversight
  • Experience with historic or older property renovations is a plus
  • Familiarity with Florida construction practices and inspections Schedule Initial part-time involvement expected during startup and coordination phases.
