Essential Job Functions:
Leadership & Strategy Provide strategic leadership and direction for the SMA Healthcare Foundation Serve as an active member of SMA Healthcare's executive leadership team Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities Drive long-term growth, sustainability, and impact of the Foundation Fundraising & Development Lead and administer all fundraising initiatives, including: Major gift cultivation and solicitation Capital and annual campaigns Planned and legacy giving programs Grant development and management Special events and corporate sponsorships Establish, monitor, and achieve measurable fundraising goals and performance metrics Enhance donor engagement, stewardship, and recognition efforts to build long-term relationships Community Engagement & Advocacy Serve as a key spokesperson and ambassador for SMA Healthcare and the Foundation Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders Increase awareness and visibility of SMA's mission and impact throughout the service area Board Relations Partner with the Foundation Board of Directors to advance fundraising and strategic priorities Support board development, engagement, and governance best practices Provide regular updates on fundraising performance, initiatives, and outcomes
Qualification Requirements:

Experience:
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, development, or advancement Proven track record of securing major gifts and leading successful fundraising initiatives Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential preferred
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities:
Proven ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders Strong understanding of fundraising strategies, including major gifts, campaigns, and grants Experience working with nonprofit boards and volunteers Excellent communication and public speaking skills Strong organizational, strategic planning, and leadership abilities Proficiency with donor management systems and technology Ability to effectively communicate and represent SMA's mission and impact High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Necessary Special Requirements:
Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record (if driving is required) Proof of automobile insurance if using a personal vehicle for business purposes Successful completion of Level II background screening Completion of required trainings within six (6) months of hire

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and events Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 10 pounds Work locations may vary based on community engagement activities
