$20•30/hour DOE Experienced Referral / Authorization Coordinator to support a growing surgical and specialty care practice in South Florida. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely authorizations, insurance verification, and coordination of patient care services within a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with prior authorizations, referrals, insurance payers, and medical office workflows while maintaining strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

$20•30/hour DOE Full-time opportunity Flexible schedule-Hybrid opportunity Collaborative and growth-oriented environment Opportunity for long-term advancement within the organization Fast-paced surgical/specialty practice setting Key Responsibilities Obtain and manage prior authorizations and referrals for procedures, imaging, medications, and specialty services Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits Submit authorization requests and supporting clinical documentation Track authorization approvals, denials, and appeals Communicate effectively with providers, patients, schedulers, and insurance payers Maintain accurate documentation within EHR systems and payer portals Support revenue cycle and patient care coordination processes Ensure compliance with payer policies and HIPAA guidelines Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in: Prior Authorizations Referral Coordination Medical Billing Patient Access Insurance Verification Experience with commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid preferred Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Experience within a surgical or specialty practice environment preferred Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Preferred Background Candidates with experience in the following settings are encouraged to apply: Plastic Surgery Surgical Practices Specialty Clinics Hospital-Based Outpatient Services Multi-Specialty Practices If you may have interest in learning more, please forward your CV for a confidential discussion.
