Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and is essential in creating a welcoming, efficient, and supportive experience across phone, in-person, and administrative interactions. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR). Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required. Duties Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner (in person and by phone) Answer and route multi-line phone calls with excellent phone etiquette Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and provider calendars Maintain an organized front desk and support daily office flow Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and physical records Assist with patient intake, including forms, demographic updates, and health history collection Verify insurance benefits and assist with copay, deductible, and coinsurance information Support general billing-related administrative tasks (no coding required) Manage incoming/outgoing communications including emails, faxes, and mail Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality at all times Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth patient care operations Skills Prior experience in a medical office, behavioral health office, or customer service role preferred Experience with insurance verification strongly preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems preferred (training available if needed) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Professional, calm, and dependable demeanor Basic computer proficiency (email, scheduling systems, data entry) Spanish language skills are a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and takes pride in providing excellent patient support.
