Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Dental Office Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support, ensure smooth clinic operations, and deliver outstanding patient service. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with dental terminology and proficiency in English and Spanish . The Front Desk Dental Office Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for patients and staff, managing appointments, insurance verification, and medical records with accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Open dental Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries using systems . Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Meditech) ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect payments and perform medical billing including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and documentation review Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and assist with patient inquiries Update patient information and manage filing of dental records and documents Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and care plan documentation. Ensure compliance with health information management standards and maintain confidentiality of patient data Experience Prior experience in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred, including familiarity with dental terminology, ICD coding, medical billing, and insurance processes. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems and in person Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse patient population Knowledge of dental clinic operations including appointment scheduling, intake procedures, insurance verification, and office management practices This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing quality patient care while developing your administrative expertise within a dynamic dental practice environment.
