Job Description

Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the hospital s medical staff functions, with a strong emphasis on credentialing and privileging of physicians, allied health professionals, and other licensed independent practitioners. Prior experience in credentialing is strongly preferred .
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in credentialing and/or medical staff services in a healthcare setting is required. Working knowledge of credentialing databases such as MD-Staff, Echo, or similar systems. Familiarity with Joint Commission, CMS, NCQA, and state accreditation standards as they relate to medical staff credentialing. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
