Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant / Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (PA/ARNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings, utilizing your extensive medical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat diverse health conditions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, and specimen collection/processing to support clinical decision-making. Provide patient education on medication administration, health coaching, nutrition, and disease management tailored to individual needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and telehealth services to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements Valid PA or ARNP license with current certification; preferred active Medicaid/Medicare number. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is preferred. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with Athenahealth is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and billing. Experience in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms (Level I & II trauma centers), ICU/PICU units, outpatient clinics or urgent care centers. Skills in infectious disease care. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills for patient care instructions and documentation aligned with HIPAA standards.
