Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical or dental office. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with billing and payment processing
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns or complaints in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficient in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
