Job Description

Overview This Medical Staff Coordinator position focuses on credentialing, medical staff administration, compliance, and database management for physicians and allied health professionals. The role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and regular interaction with medical staff leaders and administrators. Responsibilities Coordinate credentialing and recredentialing activities for medical staff and allied health professionals. Provide administrative support to medical staff leadership. Maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and applicable Florida statutes. Manage databases, filing systems, and documentation. Communicate effectively with physicians, providers, and administrative personnel.
Qualifications Education Required:
High school diploma or
GED Preferred:
Two years of college or business school Experience More than 2 years of medical staff affairs coordination/management experience OR More than 10 years of administrative assistant/clerical experience A bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience Preferred Certification Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) through the National Association Medical Staff Services Skills Strong communication skills with medical and administrative personnel Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks Knowledge of accreditation standards and Florida medical staff regulations Proficiency with word processing and record management systems Experience maintaining databases and confidential records
