Dental Treatment Coordinator / Patient Care Coordinator Competitive Compensation + Bonus Opportunities Overview Smile Solutions is a growing private dental practice seeking a highly organized, patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced dental professional who enjoys helping patients move forward with treatment while ensuring smooth front office operations. The ideal candidate will be confident discussing treatment plans, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements while delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position combines treatment coordination, scheduling, insurance management, and front office responsibilities in a modern, patient-centered practice. Key ResponsibilitiesTreatment Coordination & Patient Experience Present and explain treatment plans clearly and confidently Review insurance benefits, estimated patient portions, and financial arrangements Help patients understand the value of recommended treatment and overcome barriers to care Answer phones professionally and assist with scheduling Greet and check patients in and out efficiently Collect payments and maintain accurate patient financial records Maintain a welcoming, professional, and compassionate patient experience Confidently discuss treatment costs, financing options, and payment plans with patients Guide patients through available financing solutions, including third-party financing programs and in-house payment options when applicable Help patients overcome financial barriers to treatment while maintaining a positive and supportive patient experience Scheduling & Practice Flow Schedule treatment efficiently to maximize provider productivity and patient convenience Confirm appointments and manage schedule changes Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plan documentation Coordinate communication between clinical and administrative team members Insurance Claims & Follow-Up Prepare and submit accurate dental insurance claims daily Attach narratives, radiographs, and required documentation Track outstanding claims and monitor aging reports Proactively follow up with insurance companies regarding unpaid or delayed claims Resolve claim denials, requests for additional information, and claim corrections Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits and remaining balances Assist in reducing accounts receivable and maintaining healthy practice cash flow Qualifications Prior dental front office and/or treatment coordinator experience required Strong knowledge of dental insurance, PPO plans, claim submission, and EOB interpretation Comfortable discussing treatment plans, finances, and payment options with patients Experience with insurance follow-up and accounts receivable management preferred Familiarity with Open Dental software preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Bonus opportunities 401(k) Employee dental benefits Flexible schedule Paid holidays and paid time off Opportunities for advancement Supportive private practice environment This role requires persistence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to helping patients receive the care they need.
