  • Full-time Behavior Support Center of Florida is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversight for our PHP, IOP, OP, and substance use treatment programs in Miami Lakes, FL.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment settings, with the ability to supervise clinical staff, strengthen program structure, ensure documentation quality, support compliance standards, and guide the delivery of clinically appropriate services. This position is intended for a professional who understands the operational and regulatory expectations of
PHP/IOP/OP
programming and can assist the agency in maintaining organized, audit-ready, and clinically sound services. This is an in-person 1099 independent contractor position . Responsibilities Provide clinical oversight and supervision for PHP, IOP, OP, and substance use treatment services. Supervise and guide therapists, counselors, group facilitators, and other clinical team members. Review and support completion of biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, discharge summaries, and related clinical documentation. Ensure documentation supports medical necessity, level of care, treatment goals, interventions, progress, and discharge planning. Monitor clinical programming to ensure services are appropriate, structured, and aligned with patient needs. Assist with development and review of group schedules, group topics, treatment plan objectives, and program workflows. Support compliance with applicable behavioral health, substance use, HIPAA, documentation, and licensing standards. Provide guidance on crisis intervention, safety planning, risk assessment, and appropriate clinical escalation. Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, chart reviews, and quality improvement efforts. Assist with preparation for internal audits, payer reviews, DCF/AHCA/Joint Commission-related readiness, and other compliance reviews as applicable. Promote consistent clinical standards across PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care. Collaborate with administrative leadership to identify documentation concerns, staffing needs, training gaps, and program improvement opportunities. Requirements Active Florida clinical license required: LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or equivalent eligible license . Prior experience in PHP, IOP, OP, behavioral health, and/or substance use treatment programming required. Experience supervising clinical staff and reviewing clinical documentation required. Strong understanding of treatment planning, medical necessity, progress note requirements, discharge planning, and level-of-care documentation. Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred. Experience with DCF substance use standards, Joint Commission readiness, AHCA expectations, or payer audits strongly preferred. CAP, MCAP, or addiction treatment credential preferred but not required. Florida Board Qualified Supervisor status preferred but not required. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and documentation review skills. Must be able to work on-site in Miami Lakes, FL.
