Job Description

  • Job Overview:
  • The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for patients, delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring the seamless operation of administrative tasks. This role necessitates a blend of administrative competencies and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Extend a warm welcome to patients and visitors, assisting them with the check-in and registration processes.
  • Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring precise scheduling and timely reminders.
  • Maintain and update patient records with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries effectively.
  • Respond to phone calls and inquiries, providing relevant information regarding services and appointments.
  • Execute general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Process patient payments, manage transactions, and issue receipts.
  • Address patient concerns and resolve issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure an exemplary patient experience.
  • Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage stressful situations with composure.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
