Job Description

Company Overview Pediatric Therapy Center NWFL is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This individual serves as the first point of contact for families and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable communicating with parents, physicians' offices, and insurance providers. Responsibilities Answer multi-line phones and direct calls appropriately or assist callers directly Greet patients and families upon arrival and provide excellent customer service Obtain insurance information and ensure all required patient documentation is completed Provide intake paperwork, clinic policies, and required forms to new patients Schedule evaluations and recurring therapy appointments Confirm upcoming appointments and contact families regarding schedule changes Process patient payments including co-pays and private pay balances Maintain accurate patient records and update information within the EMR system Communicate with physician offices regarding referrals, signed plans of care, prescriptions, and other required documentation Track incoming referrals and assist with obtaining physician signatures when needed Coordinate with therapists and administrative staff to support efficient clinic flow Assist with insurance authorizations and verification as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment Experience 1+ years of experience in medical office administration, healthcare reception, or patient coordination preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable communicating professionally with physician offices, insurance companies, and families Proficiency with computers, scheduling systems, and EMR software Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
