The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinical and administrative duties, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume medical office environment. This position requires someone who can take initiative, multitask effectively, and provide exceptional patient care while supporting providers and office operations. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Obtain and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and oxygen saturation. Perform and document EKGs. Prepare patients for examination and assist providers as needed. Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system. Follow clinical protocols and infection control procedures. Administrative Duties Answer incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Verify patient demographics and insurance information. Collect patient balances, copayments, and outstanding payments. Assist with insurance authorizations and referrals. Check patients in and out. Maintain organized patient records and documentation. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and referring providers. Qualifications Required Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting. Experience working in a cardiology practice preferred. Knowledge of EKG procedures and obtaining vital signs. Experience with insurance authorizations and referrals. Strong front desk and patient scheduling experience. Experience collecting patient balances and copays. Ability to manage a high-volume office environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient with EMR systems and basic computer applications. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Preferred Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Prior cardiology experience. Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
Pay:
From $21.00 per hour
