Job Description

Oversees the clinical and case management functions within crisis services, ensuring delivery of trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions and appropriate supervision. Lead clinicians, case managers, and support staff in providing high-quality crisis evaluation, intervention, and care coordination. Supervise licensed clinicians, case managers, behavioral health technicians, and peer support specialists. Ensure all clinical documentation is completed accurately and on time, meets DCF, AHCA, and accrediting body standards, and adheres to required billing and coding practices. Partner with revenue cycle and finance teams to ensure proper use of
CPT/HCPCS
codes, service modifiers, and payer policies; participate in budget discussions. Oversee crisis assessments, safety planning, discharge planning, and coordination of follow-up care. Facilitate multidisciplinary case reviews and interdepartmental coordination. Support trauma-informed, culturally responsive, person-centered service delivery. Provide clinical supervision consistent with Florida Qualified Supervisor requirements (Rule 64B4-2.002). Participate in quality improvement efforts, including monitoring clinical outcomes, service utilization and risk indicators. Collaborate with internal and external partners (law enforcement, hospitals, community agencies) to strengthen crisis response networks. Develop subject-matter expertise in the center's EMR system and oversee its effective use within the clinical services team. Serve as a knowledgeable resource able to cross-cover responsibilities of other department managers during absences or peak operational periods. May include evening, weekend, or on-call rotation coverage due to the nature of crisis work.

Education:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field. Compliance with Chapter 491, F.S., and Rule 64B4 supervision and documentation requirements.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in behavioral health leadership Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in crisis or acute care. Approved Qualified Supervisor credential required. Experience supervising multidisciplinary crisis teams. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and Baker Act procedures preferred. Training in trauma-informed leadership, recovery-oriented systems of care, and/or crisis system transformation preferred. Working knowledge of the history and function of alternatives to traditional emergency psychiatric care preferred.
Certification:
Active Florida clinical license (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
Licensure:
Valid Florida Driver's License required.
