We specialize in workers' compensation, personal injury, liability claims, and complex orthopedic care while partnering closely with employers, attorneys, insurance carriers, nurse case managers, and patients. We are seeking a Workers' Compensation & Liability Claims Coordinator to support our orthopedic team and serve as a key liaison in managing claim-related patient coordination and communication. Position Overview The Workers' Compensation & Liability Claims Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the orthopedic practice, injured patients, employers, insurance carriers, adjusters, attorneys, nurse case managers, and other stakeholders involved in workers' compensation and liability claims. This role supports patients involved in: ✔ Workers' Compensation ✔ Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) ✔ Bodily Injury Claims ✔ Premises Liability Claims ✔ Third-Party Liability Cases The position coordinates patient care, authorizations, scheduling, documentation, communications, medical-legal coordination, and claim support activities throughout treatment. Key Responsibilities Claims & Patient Coordination Coordinate scheduling for initial visits, diagnostics, therapies, referrals, and follow-up appointments Serve as liaison between patients, employers, adjusters, attorneys, carriers, and case managers Provide claim status updates and facilitate communication among stakeholders Coordinate urgent authorizations, appointments, and follow-up activities Medical-Legal Coordination Assist with IMEs, CMEs, depositions, expert witness coordination, and related services Support physicians with documentation requests and insurance-related paperwork Coordinate medical records and attorney requests Ensure compliance with Letters of Agreement (LOAs), employer requirements, and carrier instructions Revenue Cycle & Claim Support Assist with claim-related billing support Coordinate lien requests and reimbursement documentation Support collections-related activities when applicable Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate EMR documentation Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Florida Workers' Compensation regulations, and insurance requirements Qualifications Required ✔ Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, risk management, business, nursing, rehabilitation, or related field ✔ Minimum 2 years experience in one or more of the following: Workers' compensation coordination Liability claims Orthopedic practice operations Insurance coordination Healthcare case management Personal injury coordination ✔ Strong communication and organizational skills ✔ Experience with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace Preferred Qualifications ⭐
RN / LPN / PT / OT
